   GOOD THINGS: The coffee tastes good. Although I prefer the flavor of perked coffee, I think this machine does a good job. I moved away from a percolator because I am tired of cleaning all the parts. The telephone support guy was very good and patient when I had a question setting it up. Easy to clean the machine, and you can go on Youtube for instructions. NOT AS GOOD: The machine is quite large and takes up a lot of counter space. It is also a bit tall, and my concern is the steam coming off the top will damage my wood cabinets over time, so I keep it on top of a towel so I can move it back and forth easier. There are little alarms that beep if you forget to move the “stop drip” back or when the coffee is done. But they should have added an alarm for the flip-down single cup holder as well. We use both the single-cup function and the full-pot function. Can you guess? There is no bell or whistle to warn you that the single mug holder is flipped down but you are brewing a full pot of coffee. So you turn it on, feed the dogs walk away and come back to coffee everywhere. Yep. When I first received it I felt the “chrome” finishes were cheap looking, but I got used to them. Overall, a decent cup of coffee, like the design but it needs some tweaks, and the company’s support team was good. UPDATE: the Clean Button started coming frequently on about 5 months after we started using it. I would clean it according to Ninja’s Youtube instructions, and sometimes in less than a week the light was on again. The Ninja was making large “cups” of coffee early in, but as the clean button became a problem, the amount of coffee it brewed varied depending on the Ninja’s mood that day. It finally breathed its last breath. The light came on a couple days after I cleaned it. Cleaning is a one-hour process: an hour with vinegar and water, then an hour with water to rinse, so I ignored it 2-3 days, and then it just quit working. I tried to run a clean cycle, but it refused to do that as well. I called customer service, and as stated above, they are very helpful. They tried to help me over the phone, nothing worked, so they are sending a new base. I had to pay a reasonable amount for shipping. Bad luck, their shipping is down and the new unit won’t be here for 4-6 weeks. I have mixed feelings about the machine, but it makes good coffee, so I am willing to try. Update to follow.

   I am very disappointed with this coffee maker. I bought it as a gift to my husband for his birthday, in advance. when he opened it and tried to make coffee, turned it on, coffee maker starts to turn off every 10 seconds. I do not know if we got a defective product, but the birthday present didn’t work.
   and for now I cann’t return it, because I bought it in advance.

   Update 9/13/20 Don’t know what the delay issue was, but things have been fine since. No cleaning issues, no false stops. All components are still working great. —- **update 1/3/19** Had the delayed brew all set for a half carafe at 7:30, classic brew. Husband texted that something was wrong when he went downstairs. It looks like it started the pot with the preliminary spray to wet the grounds, but then quit like it was all done. Had maybe 1 Cup of coffee in the bottom. I pressed “classic” again and then it started brewing again as normal. I’m already saying “uh oh” to myself. 😬 ______________ Just bought and started using our Ninja 3 days ago and have used it every day so far. I had some trepidation when deciding to purchase due to the negative comments based on the cleaning indicator coming on too quickly and then too often. I didn’t put much stock into the reviewers who’ve had their product only 1 month or less; the true test will be to see how it’s doing 6 months, 1 year, etc, from now and after I’ve gotten a chance to experience cleaning it. For now, I really do love it. Make sure to measure your cabinets to ensure that the machine will fit under them safely (duh). Some reviewer(s) complained about the steam that comes out from the top and how it ruined their cabinets… you have to pull it out and away from the cabinets when it’s brewing (also duh)! The frothed is super easy to use and clean. The glass carafe feels solid and secure, and also pours out the coffee just fine. Some reviewers complained that it poured slowly (how fast do you want it to pour, man!? Gravity only works so well!). The carafe is also easy to clean and rinse out. The instructions say that you need to brew two full carafes of water first to prime the machine before it’s first use, which I did. It takes about 10 minutes from start to finish for one cycle. Programming for delayed starts is also super simple and intuitive. I’m also enjoying the recipe booklet that comes with the machine. I’ve attached an example of one of the recipes. I’ll definitely update this review once I’ve used it a few more times and experienced cleaning it (which they indicate will take 1 hour as a heads up).

   I bought this coffee 3 years ago before writing this review. It is hands down the best coffee maker I can think of on the market for what you need at a dang good cost! EASE OF USE – 1- it has A clean detachable water resivuor and coffee grinds so you can fill water and clean/add new coffee grinds in whiteout having to akwardly bring everything to the machine. 2- It has an auto clean so if you happen to not use it for a bit you just fill the water tank and tap clean and it does the rest. MODES – 1- ICE Mode is a clear standout to separate this machine from many others in this price point and it works very well! 2 – A lot of volume control you can choose the different single cup sizes to how much of a pitcher you need that really lets you dial the control in and as far as speed it gets to work quick. COFFEE QUALITY- 1- so this system doesn’t use your typical paper coffee filters, it has a reusable mesh design which I just tap and rinse out and been using for years with out any issues or wear to the system. What’s better is due to the reusable mesh design it allows the flavors and pressure of the system to achieve coffee shop level qualities. 2 – there is a classic and bold mode for a little extra kick in your cup of mud! EXTRAS – 1 – Dat Frother tho… It’s a power house, I have those tiny battery ones and this thing just made me toss em in the garbage, it’s so next level I actually use it mostly to mix a lot of my pre workout and protein shakes with it, wayyyy better than using a spoon. 2 – the pull down glass shelf is awesome if you want the pour from the dropper not to splash everywhere if you have a smaller cup. THINGS I HAVENT USED- 1 – It doesn’t have a grinder you gotta get that separate or just get pre ground coffee… cuz I just gotta be extra with it I got me a grinder so it’s nice and fresh.. 2 – the measuring cup thing I really don’t use that much, I just kinda eyeball everything and also there’s a clock on it but I haven’t really used the timer setting on it either since I grind it fresh. ALSO – Last thing those double walled ninja coffee pint things are soooo clutch!! Definitely make speed to coffee heaven even better with this machine, it’s just made to be exactly fitted for everything but it if you like your Garfield mug it’ll work too.

   Worked great for a few months. After five months the coffee maker started having problems. The coffee maker will only take in a bit of water before stopping now. This is also the case when you try and clean the coffee maker using the clean cycle. Finally gave up trying to fix this coffee maker and bought a different brand. Would love to get some of my money back.
