   OK – – the good news first: This thing is FABULOUS – – I only need a little more than HALF the grounds to make the SAME strength coffee as my old Krups Drip! So within the next few years, this will pay for itself in coffee bean savings. {I use the ‘Rich Brew’ setting} I Also love the water reservoir system – instead of having to draw water for each cup, you just set the brew size, and away you go. Flexibility is great – our old Krups would NOT make a decent SINGLE cup, this one DOES And finally – – the Frother is outstanding. On our current Keto Diet, we often make a ‘bulletproof’ coffee – – This frother is better than our Aerolatte I did buy the thermal carafe unit because there is NO heater plate in this – the Coffee stays warm for about an hour or more I can only imagine that with the Glass Carafe unit, the coffee would cool MUCH more quickly I have NOT had any problems pouring OUT of the thermal carafe as has been reported on other website reviews. If needed, a quick bump in the Microwave warms it back up – far preferable to burning the coffee on a heater plate. – And now the Bad News – – the coffeemaker does NOT shut off automatically after the brew cycle is done. You have to press the button. I see this as a safety hazard because the heating element remains ON. If this is just a setting that I’ve overlooked, (Hey Ninja – – you listening?) I’ll bump my rating back up to 5

   So I broke my beloved latte maker when I started my new job and have been dragging my feet deciding whether to pay the $400 for another replacement pot (it’s discontinued so you have to pay for old ones on eBay basically). I finally broke down and did some research on latte makers on the market. The #ninja got the best reviews and now here’s mine after my first cup of coffee for anyone interested. (This is Facebook, clearly everyone cares what I post!!) The machine comes completely assembled and is easy to start to use. You just have to run water through the first 2 cycles before brewing coffee. It comes with a frother and a coffee scoop. It makes regular coffee so people who visit can actually have a regular cup of coffee instead of walking to the gas station for it 😂 It brews various sizes like a keurig. From single cup to a full carafe. It also brews concentrated 4 oz. pours for latte lovers like me. I bought it with the stainless carafe because I didn’t want to break another glass pot. (Upcharge for that, naturally). It also comes with an iced coffee pot. You fill it with ice first and then brew the coffee right in to it. It came with a recipe book and washing instructions for the full machine (so hopefully I won’t be drinking a bunch of mold like keurig users do). It had a bunch of other bells and whistles I need to figure out (like it appears to let you schedule overnight. Oh how I hope I can get that to work!!) The latte is good, overall. The coffee brewed quickly. The frother worked as you can see. The issue is that it’s a ton of steps and measuring and dirty dishes, very much unlike my beloved latte maker. I have to heat the milk separately and dump it in the coffee, and trying to walk through the process first think in the morning before I have had coffee is gonna be challenging 😉 Overall: final verdict is still out- but first impression is that I’ll learn to love it. I’d recommend it so far…

   I’m amazed at the possibilities that have opened up for my family ever since the Ninja Coffee Bar arrived on our doorstep. SharkNinja is an innovative manufacturer of practical, functional and affordable home and kitchen appliances. I believe that anyone who enjoys homebrewing a great cup of coffee – or wants to entertain house guests in style – will find a lot to like about the Ninja Coffee Bar. I’be come to think of the Ninja as an all-in-one barista machine. I like coffee black, my wife likes flavored coffee, and my son likes espresso. The Ninja Coffee Bar does it all – and then some! To help make things easy for novices like myself, the system includes a very helpful full-color 50+ page catalog that details how to make a tempting assortment of beverages. Suffice to say the catalog has inspired our family to stock up on syrup, half & half, milk and etc. We can’t wait to explore the possibilities! I like that I can choose from three settings – classic brew, rich brew and over ice brew – with a press of a button. It helps brew the coffee just right depending upon if I want to drink it black, create a specialty coffee or ice coffee. Fill the water reservoir, turn the dial to select the serving size, and the Ninja dispenses just the right amount of water. Nice! A single serve scoop allows me to easily measure what I need to make a cup of coffee, which incidentally will save a ton of money when compared with using pods. (I snapped a photo of my first cup of coffee using the Ninja!) There’s a built in filter to reduce the cost associated with using paper filters, too. It’s worth mentioning that coffee brewed using the Ninja simply tastes better. I suspect it has something to do with the technology including how the heat extracts the most from the coffee beans. Somehow the same coffee I’ve used before is yielding more flavor than before. The system features a hot, stainless steel carafe; a frother; a Ninja scoop; and a Ninja over ice carafe. Advanced one-touch Specialty and Cafe Forte brew settings are available for advanced uses. The Ninja has controls for cleaning and delayed brewing (and yes, even the clock is easy to set!). All in all, I feel that the Ninja offers everything I could want from a barista system. I highly recommend the Ninja Coffee Bar to everyone.

   Such an overall awesome machine! It is very well made. Not cheap or flimsy. It is extremely user friendly. Very easy to clean. The coffee filter is a ‘swing open’ door which makes it a breeze to remove the old grounds. The water reservoir comes off with ease, making it super easy to fill it. It brews delicious coffee. It makes AWESOME lattes and cappuccino’s which look and taste far superior to the ones served in professional coffee shops!! Even my children come to visit me twice a day now to get a latte! ( I wonder if I should deduct one star for that??? ) lol!
   I have owned every coffee maker out there, but this one is definitely a keeper!!!

   I do love my new Ninja Coffee Bar 🙂 It does everything it says it will and very easily. The only thing I would have liked to see on there where it gives you the different size cups or travel mugs is the oz, so you know for sure just what size mug you need for each setting, It does say in the manual, but if it was part of the diagram on the machine, that would be much more helpful. This of course is not a deal breaker for not liking the coffee bar, by any means. I love it! Eventually I will remember the different sizes lol Don’t forget to put it through the cleaning cycle twice before first use.

   I love the coffee, hot/cold, frother. Works perfectly until it starts leaking… we’ve had ours just over a year. I ordered a new reservoir since I thought that was the problem, it wasn’t since it still leaks. I can no longer set the maker to brew before I wake because my counter will be soaked. I make a pot for my husband and a mug for me and the clean light comes on every 2 weeks, now barely a year old the clean light comes on weekly. I use filtered water every use. The attached photo is what was left in the reservoir (before it leaked) after a pot was brewed otherwise it would be on the counter and floor.

   It is excellent. Makes a great cup of coffee. Its fairly easy to use, even the milk frothier. The only downside is the water has to heat up before brewing and if you set the auto timer you have to leave the power fully on overnight. It does use a good bit of power. Tried to boil a kettle at the same time this was brewing and tripped the breaker. Other than that I will never use a tasimo or kurig again.

   I have changed my rating to two stars. after a year this thing is a mess. It leaks all the time, errors during brewing with means you need to turn it off, remove the water tank and push the little nozzle to get air out of the system. I want to love it but it is a big disappointment based on the price. This is not user error either… it seems the system works great for while then you start to notice it wont get through a brew cycle without error like a couple times a week…, then, every day.

   Honest to Pete, I hardly ever write a review, but this machine made some really good coffee. I just went through 2 Keurig machines in 1 month and both times the pumps broke. So I ordered this Ninja. I mean it made a really good cup of coffee. Oh, and the delivery was fast even though it wasn’t prime. Ordered on a Friday and got it on a Monday. The cafe forte made some serious coffee. Thanks Ninja. Update!!! 2-9-17. I love this coffee maker!!! I made a travel mug with frothed half&Half cream and salted caramel. Omg!! It was delicious!! I’m so happy! After 2 Keurig machines and total hell with the pumps breaking I finally found my dream coffee machine. Update!!!! 3-2-2017 Still working great! No problems at all. I have noticed I am not buying as much coffee. With that measurement spoon it tells you how much to scoop. I do use filtered water in my machine. I have a Pur filter container. So I haven’t had to clean my coffee maker yet. Honestly, I will never own any other coffee maker, it’s that good. Update!! 3-16-2017 Well, I finally had to clean it. The red light came on. I used white vinegar and water. It takes a good hour to go through the clean cycle. Follow the directions in the book to clean it. Mandatory! I still love this machine. Coffee still smooth. I do look forward to my coffee in the morning. It makes a very smooth cup of coffee. No problems at all with my machine.

    Update: like many others have experienced, the “clean” light on our machine eventually came on, which has only led to frustration. We cleaned it following the instructions and it worked…for a little while. It was about two weeks later when the “clean” light came on again. We went through the same steps and got it to work again. Then it came on again…urgh. This time we cleaned it, but the light never went off. Interestingly the system still worked so we continued to make coffee ignoring the light. It finally died today. We’ve had it for 1 1/5 years, but for the price we paid it should last much longer than that. It sucks because this machine has all the features we like. We won’t be buying it again though. Original review: I’ve been using this coffee machine almost every day for 5 months and I love it. I previously had a Kuerig, which was very convenient but I never cared for the taste of coffee from K cups. I’ve tried many k cup flavors but they all seemed weak and artificial…not like the real brewed stuff in coffee shops. But I have to say, this Ninja makes delicious coffee. It’s also versatile as it can brew a single serving or a whole pot. And it has multiple brew options, such as iced, classic, strong brew, etc. The only thing I think it lacks is the ability to do k cups too, but it’s not really a negative in my book since Im not a fan of k cups. It also takes longer to brew than a kuerig, but it’s a small price to pay for good coffee.

    I love this coffee maker except that it does not have a warming plate. The carafe it comes with is not good at all- it has a hole in the top (obviously for the coffee to go into) but then there is no way to close that off, and no warming element, so the coffee goes cold VERY fast. I also wish it were a larger capacity. You can only make half or full carafe, which just… doesn’t really work all the time? And the full carafe doesn’t really make as much coffee as it should compared to a typical, 12 cup coffee maker. Wish I could exchange for a different model 🙁
