   I got this today and tested it out a bit. It’s a bit strange because when frothing the liquid will jet up a bit so you have to do it slow and be careful. The foam created is OK, but I recommend getting yourself TWO of those metal mesh because that will make the foam thicker where it also reduces the aforementioned “jet up” issue. I think the liquid gets pulled up due to the design of the press. I included a bird eye view pic of the Ninja on left and Bodum press on right. The Bodum I have I broke one so ended up with a spare mesh to double up and it is much more effective. Ninja’s has more parts and that design causes some fluids to shoot up when frothing so you have to do it slowly. It could just be me so take that with a grain of salt. Luckily, the Ninja and Bodum dimensions are nearly identical so I was able to swap the bottom piece of Bodum press and us it on the Ninja no problem. The Ninja’s is slimmer profile wise only because it lacks the handle part though the handle adds tiny bit more stability to the press. Ninja’s glass bottom has that silicone base only. Bodum’s press has simpler design where after frothing you can air pump it inside the glass not in contact with milk, and then suck any milk that drips when you pull it out. I know that sounds kind of dirty but it’s actually a easier cleaning than the Ninja’s because of the extra parts. Ninja’s is a bit too bulky to suck on so when you pull it out make sure your careful that milk doesn’t drip everywhere. Both are easily taken apart for cleaning. Ninja’s is a bit taller than Bodum but both same dimensions. The cap part of Bodum is not removable for my particular unit but Ninja’s can be removed and swapped with something else if there’s any need of doing that. I’m now swapped the base of the Bodum press on to the longer stem of the Ninja and using Ninja’s taller glass jar. Double mesh highly recommended for thicker foam and you can pump harder/fewer times to achieve a nice froth and won’t even have to follow the fill-line on the Ninja’s IMO.

   Bought a similar model from Bodum years ago and then when I needed a new one they had changed their model to a flat plastic foamer which doesn’t work at all. I’ve been using my old cracked one for years now and was contemplating how to go about fashioning new parts myself. I decided to do another search on ninjaoutlets.com, and whala, I found this model. It arrived in a day or two as they promised and I was happy to see that it is almost exactly the same as my old one. It works just as well at foaming minus one small detail. The height of the container is just enough shorter that foam squirts out the top. The old model does that too if you overfill it, but holds more to begin with so you can make more foam altogether. I am still playing with the new model. If I find I really need that extra space, the great thing is, I can just move the end to my old model and have the taller container. So, my only suggestion is just that they make the container a bit taller. I am otherwise very pleased with this purchase and will definitely buy again. As a foam addict, the only way to foam milk is with one of these devices. I am very grateful to have found a quality replacement!! .

   Just purchased 08/02/2018 this ninja new milk frother because my last one (different brand) broke. I was looking for a new one to go with my new Nespresso Pixie espresso machine. If you buy a Nespresso maker, don’t waste your money on the Aeroccino milk frother. It is expensive and for the money you do what I did can buy the Ninja Coffee Bar Easy Milk frother which you pump by hand instead of having an electric motor like the Aeroccino. It is way less expensive, faster, and easier to clean and works just as well. This one works great and it looks like they addressed the glass breakage issue so many of the negative reviews complained about by adding a silicone base and band around the middle of the carafe as shown in the attached photo. Works great, easy to clean, highly recommended. Tip, I usually put 4 oz of half and half or milk in the frother and microwave it without the metal pumping mechanism for about a minute. This way I have hot milk to foam and pour into my espresso to make a latte and it doesn’t cool down my espresso.

   I only use this with cold dairy milk. I suppose you could warm the milk first but I love the contrast between my hot coffee and cold foam on top. You won’t get the same result with almond or oat milk but soy milk makes okay foam but not thick and creamy.

   I got my first one about 8-10 years ago with my coffee maker. It worked fantastic. Unfortunately I knocked it off the counter. I replaced it with this one. I couldn’t justify spend 100$+ dollars on one like my Nespresso. It’s great for work and makes for perfect frothy milk

   This makes the finest frothed milk I’ve been able to make without an actual machine. Much finer and smoother that I manage to get with these little battery-powered whips. It can also produce a much denser foam if need be.

   Very easy to use, a tiny bit of a pain to clean, but nothing terrible.

    Update:
    the screw-on cylinder keeps loosening so you have check before you begin to make new froth.to make sure its tight. I didn’t know this and started pushing harder and then it broke. 😢. Ordering a new one, gonna see if checking the tightness regularly helps.

    have purchased a few different frother wands, frothing machines, and steam wands (connected to espresso machines). This little ninja is ny FAR the best bang for your buck. Makes cold foam just as good as Starbucks. And now I can officially make my own cold foam cold brews 🙌. I haven’t figured out how to do with non dairy milk yet, nor have I flavored the cold foam (ie. Pumpkin powder, lavender powder, matcha powder) but I will certainly try, but even if o can’t get my coconut milk or almond milk to foam, I’m still happy with this $20 cold foamer. SCORE!

    Love this frother! After extensive research on debating to buy one of the expensive electronic ones I ended up trying this manual frother based on the reviews. I didn’t expect much based on the cost but I do trust Ninja products and wow – I love this frother! 1.) The glass is pretty thick – not sure how people are breaking it so easily (from negative reviews). 2.) I hand cleaned mine (verses using Dishwasher) as hand cleaning is recommended by the company – took about 3 min extra to do. Easy! 3.) Directions super easy to understand, well marked on glass, and worked to a T! As for the negative reviews of milk coming out top, I turned the lid exactly to the spot specified on the directions sheet and it worked perfectly staying solidly locked in and no milk spilled over. 4.) For Heating the milk, I just heated my milk up in a seperate mug and then poured into the ninja frother…worked perfect! Both cold milk and hot milk frothed great. Overall I’d say this is a great product! I do suggest being a little gentle with everything (no slamming, banging down on the pump) and taking your time to effectively follow the directions. Doing so is super easy and takes a few min to have perfectly foamed or thick meringue style milk (what I wanted- cappuccino style)! I only wanted meringue style cream and after 15 pumps with regular organic 2% milk it was perfect. FYI the milk looks thicker than the picture really conveys and was about an inch thick. Also I already bought two more for gifts because I love this product so much!
