   I bought this to be able to cook 6 burgers at a time. After trying to cook only 2 burgers it is important to know that the perforated holes in the aluminum top are too big. Grease shoots out of these holes and gets all over the unit and the kitchen counter. The holes are simply to big. A solution could be to place a grease splatter screen over the top of the unit when cooking greasy foods. Or cut a piece of grease splatter screen and attach it directly to the cover to prevent the grease from splashing out through the holes in the cover. (That is how I will remedy this unit to use for burgers and bacon but I should not have to!) Using this unit with greasy burgers is a poor idea and will entail a bunch of cleanup without modifying or using a grease screen on top. It is hard to believe Ninja did not test this before bringing it to market? It would be very easy to get burned by the grease splattering through the holes in the cover. The cover is easily removeable for easy cleanup (just lift straight up and off), as is the grill plate itself. Even with all the splatter mess, both pieces cleaned up quite easy. There was no sticking of the food to the grill plate. Instructions state to preheat the unit at temp for 7 minutes before using. It appears the heating surface is even across the entire surface. Another issue is the grease does not run down the grill plate into the trough, it just pools on the cooking surface which is very poor, causing all the grease splatter. Although there is a grease through built into the grill plate, the grease does not flow into this and stays on the cooking surface. This is because all the legs are the same size and there is no sloping (Back to front) to the forward grease trough. I suspect I will have to add something under the 2 rear legs to slope the grill plate so the grease runs down in the grease trough. I have my doubts as to whether or not the recommended cooking temperatures are accurate. Using a digital thermometer, following the cooking instructions for burgers, the center was 185+f and should be 160f. So I would keep an eye on the food until you get use to it. This Ninja comes with 2 cooking plates and the second flat one appears it would be good for pancakes or sandwiches, stir fry, etc. I suspect cooking bacon, (until you modify the top with a grease screen) you would have the same grease splatter issues. I do not plan on returning this Ninja as I believe I can get some use out of the size. The ease of cleaning is another issue I am happy with. If you plan on cooking lots of burgers, bacon and greasy foods, this is probably not the unit for you unless you are handy and can cut a piece of grease screen to cover the holes, to can solve this problem. (Ninja should have already thought of this). You can see in the photos how big the holes are in the top cover. The whole idea of that cover was to protect grease splatter but unfortunately this is a complete failure. Covering the inside with a piece of grease screen will fix this issue. As far as the smokeless claims? Those are not true either. With that much grease pooled up on the grill tray, there is going to be smoke. Another commenter recommended using this under the range hood which is probably a good idea. Tomorrow I will modify the cover with a piece of grease screen and add some height to the 2 rear legs so the grease runs down into the trough properly.

   Wow, Ninja did it again. Beautiful, high heat grill with two plates. One if desire grill marks on your steak but also a flat plate for pancakes etc. or best of all, for indoor smash burgers! Works beautifully – crisps the patties as desired. Love this thing, live in a small open plan setting yet no problem with smoke on high heat and easy to clean. Do not regret this purchase and would purchase again. Large enough for a steak and a couple fruit/veg shish kobo’s – could be a larger size available for larger family maybe but I’m happy.

   This grill is outstanding. We had a Hamilton Beach that wasn’t heating properly anymore after 4 years of use so we bought this after lots of research & reading reviews. We were going to get the 6 in 1 but we like to have our grill separate from the Air Fryer, & this got better reviews than that product. We also had to pick between this model, & the cheaper model that didn’t come with a griddle & im really happy we decided to get this because the griddle is amazing. Normally, in our biggest frying pan I can only get 5 pieces of bacon which I constantly have to rotate in order to make sure it cooks evenly. But on this? I can easily fit 8 pieces of bacon that all cook together at the same time because the heat distribution on this grill is awesome. With our last grill there would be grease spots under the grill, that would some how miss the trap, but not with this, and it gets hotter than the other one, and I think it’s hotter than the dial is set at 350° to 375°? It cooks at what seems like 400° so I found myself turning it down more than the instructions suggested. It’s really easy to use, and clean. It’s also very sleek & modern looking on the counter. It does pull about 12.5 amps so if you have this going with an air fryer that pulls a lot of amps on the same circuit? It might trip the breaker. I posted a pic you have to divide that number by 10. -The only two complaints we would have are, it doesn’t have a light to indicate when it reaches its cooking temp, and it didn’t come with a complimentary Ninja Throwing Star. I was really looking forward to that. I hope you love this as much as we do! (If you decide to get it!)

   I’ve been wanting this for a little while now, the second I seen it on ninjaoutlets.com. I didn’t have the money for it at first, so I didn’t get it. When I did, I had issues finding it again so it seems as if they sold out and took it off the market on ninjaoutlets.com specifically. When I saw it come back available, I immediately purchased it! I didn’t have the finances this time again on hand, but I did it through Affirm & got approved so I was super excited. I put it to use that very night, making breakfast for dinner. I made the mistake by cooking my bacon on the grill style top, (I’m used to my other tabletop grill having this texture) – my other tabletop grill was just a plug in, and it heats itself up. Idek to what temp lol. This one heats up by turning the knob and your options are in degrees – I like that it comes with a booklet and also a separate section on the Ninja website to view the different temps you should be using for each style of meat or food you cook. I say I made the mistake with the bacon with the top I used bc the insides wouldn’t cook correctly but it was too late to change to the griddle top. I know for next time. The next night I cooked chicken and roasted potatoes on the grill top again and I didn’t take pics like I should’ve but it came out amazing! Chicken didn’t stick (even tho I did add butter to the grill top) and nothing stuck to the top piece. Came right off. It cooked my chicken juicy and came out super delicious. The booklet stated to cook chicken at 375° temp for 23-30 mins, but it took about 8-11 mins for the chicken to finish cooking altogether. This thing is amazing and I can’t wait to cook more on it!!!! My new kitchen toy!

    We looove the grill! I think it’s perfect for two people or maybe three. Im not gonna give it 5 stars because I didn’t see any “low smoke”. That being said, we love it to use on our balcony, it’s small, easy to use and perfect to cook a nice dinner.     I love ninja so had high hopes for this grill. However, it’s a US import so you’ll need a US to UK plug adapter. However, during the first use the element blew. Was able to return for a refund but I am out of pocket from the plug adapter and sorting suitable packaging to return the postage. Don’t bother if you live in the UK.

    This has got to be one of the best purchases I’ve made. Comes in very handy when you want to grill but the weather is bad, or you live in an apartment that does not allow outdoor grilling. This baby can handle everything, burgers, steaks, chicken, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. It cooks everything to perfection, word of note the grill/griddle combo seems to cook a little higher than the set temperature so maybe consider cooking lower than what it recommends. It also cleans up easily with soap and water for the grill and griddle plates and the removable lid being dishwasher safe.
