   I love this coffee maker so much I got one for work too. It does great hot or cold Coffee. I love that it can do a different size cups with the regular coffee grains. It’s very sleek looking and easy to clean. It brews a good strong cup of coffee pretty quickly.

   I have always used a 12 cup traditional coffee brewer, so I felt like I upgraded when I bought a single cup style. Turns out, I’m not a single cup gal. So, I gave this one a try and I’m glad I did. I LOVE the cold brew and over ice functions for an afternoon treat, and the classic or rich styles for the mornings. It has a delay brew function, which I was missing with the single cup brewer I had chosen. This one looks nice in our kitchen. It’s definitely an upgrade to the old traditional coffee pot I had. I love the drip stop function so I can pour while it’s still brewing. It’s a 12 cup capacity, but I can brew various sizes easily. I feel it’s a good value for the multi functions it has, and good quality but only time will tell on that. You can choose to use #4 cone filters, or just the built in filter, but I always use a paper filter so it is an easier cleanup. Also, fine grounds will end up in your cup without the paper filter. Due to reading some reviews about a weird taste, I washed the parts extra well before using and I don’t taste anything other than my coffee. My single cup version had a built in milk frother, so I’m missing that on this guy. But it is an option on a different model when you click to order. At this time, i recommend this Ninja product Edit to original review: if you put the recommended scoops of coffee grounds in for a full carafe, the water going through the grounds causes them to overflow and there will be coffee grounds coming out around the edge and into your coffee. So, you have to go with less coffee grounds. I’m still trying to work this out since I rarely need a full carafe of coffee. I usually just brew enough for myself, but we had company for breakfast and it made a mess to add the recommended coffee grounds for the full carafe. I’m disappointed! Another edit: i absolutely do not recommend this anymore. After it overflowed coffee grounds again, I started a return and replaced it with a Keurig Duo. I’m so disappointed that Ninja’s product has this flaw. Also, it splatters coffee on the tile backsplash each time I brew. I do not like that! They need to work on this design! You should be able to brew without splatter, and you should be able to brew as recommended without coffee grounds overflowing!

   I finally found a coffee maker that makes good coffee and is easy to use. It’s easy like a keurig but still a regular coffee maker. No more plastic pods! I used it within five minutes of unboxing. The quick set up instructions are easy to follow. The only thing I had to figure out, and it was probably just me being dull that day, was how to start the brewing. There is no start button. Once you press the power button and then turn the knob to the amount of coffee, to start the brewing you press either classic or rich or one of the other two choice below to start the brewing process. So easy and the coffee is delicious!

   Let me start off by saying that I LOVE my Coffee and my trusty Hamilton Beach coffee maker finally kicked the bucket one day so naturally I went ahead and got another Hamilton Beach (The Scoop) because I wanted single-serve functionality. To say I was DISAPPOINTED is understatement. That Coffee Maker made a MESS and splattered coffee everywhere, made VERY WEAK watery coffee, and couldn’t even fit my favorite ‘MAN-Sized’ Cup. Needless to say I returned it and looked at alternative brands… ENTER THE NINJA! I was a bit skeptical at first, the price is on the premium side but at the same time looks like a MUCH more expensive machine… and the real question was, is it actually any good? or too good to be true? The Ninja addressed EVERY issue I had with the Hamilton Beach. Look at the pictures! I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that it fit my MAN-Sized Cup PERFECTLY! ZERO splatter when making a cup of coffee and the cherry on top it has a ‘drip-stop’ lever to stop any drips after you remove the cup *chefs kiss* I LOVE the way the brew basket slides outwards to easily add your coffee, and the removable water reservoir so you can make yourself a cup without having to add water every time *chefs kiss* But the real question and main job of every Coffee Maker… does it make good coffee?? YES it does. DELICIOUS Smooth Coffee (with paper filters). *chefs kiss* Cone Filters # 4 by the way The Ninja has spoiled me with the Coffee Size selection now. If I’m in the mood for a BIG cup or a small cup I can precisely select how much I want. I’ve also tried out the ‘Over Ice’ and ‘Cold Brew’ selections and they work GREAT! Basically just fill your cup with ice and it will do the rest, and don’t worry it will not overflow or anything. Both options are basically Iced Coffee but ‘Cold Brew’ takes a lot longer but promises a smoother coffee and brews it a lot slower, and WOW it’s Amazing! *chefs kiss* I absolutely love everything about this Ninja coffee maker. The people who made these clearly love their coffee too and speak my language. I’m sold on Ninja for life! Get one and you won’t regret it… Don’t think twice I promise it’ll be *chefs kiss*

   So far so good. I just got this unit a couple of days ago and thus far I have no complaints about it. Was a little skeptical about buying this unit at first, because it looks exactly like the last ninja i had that was half the cost ($80). But looking the same is where the similarities ended. For one, the main reason this unit sells for like $160 when not on sale is because the addition of the cold brew feature. If you don’t drink and/or like cold brew coffee then i would not recommend this unit and would suggest Ninjas offerings that are $100 and under. On a side note though, the screen / software for this unit is updated and better than the $80 ninja i had, it even gives you a progress bar on your cup of coffee so you can see how close it is to being done brewing. The cold brew brews you a cup in about 10 minutes or less and a half carafe may take about 20 minutes or so, instead of waiting 12-16 hours to make cold brew the old fashioned way. It uses water that’s around 100 degrees or so, so its not technically brewed with “cold” water, and the end result isn’t EXACTLY the same as an authentic cold brew steeped for many hours but it is remarkably close and worth the slight compromise of using 100 degree water to get cold brew in minutes rather than hours. All in all, this unit won me over as I’ve always been a huge cold brew fan, and i would absolutely recommend it to you IF you are also a big fan of drinking cold brew coffee. Otherwise, save some money and get a cheaper model without cold brew.

   Bit of a story: I dropped the item and managed to crack the water reservoir. After the repair, I filled the reservoir and the product leaked. Because I damaged the item I figured there was no sense in returning the product so I investigated the leak. Turns out a gasket inside the product was improperly installed. I phoned Ninja in the off-chance they might provide some assistance/or entertain a return. Well, they had no issue with the situation I faced and happily provided a replacement base unit. The gentleman I spoke with (Fred) was super helpful and within a short period of time told me a replacement will be on the way. Excellent service!!

   I had one of these many years ago. Loved it then. Life changed & I moved. I had to start over again, with nothing. My black & decker coffees pot was good. Until it died. Then I had to buy new. I did my research & found the model i previously owned. I knew I had to get it. Bought it, got free overnight shipping. It was on my doorstep before 5am the next day. Brewed coffee is extremely hot. It doesn’t get cold fast at all. The taste. OMG! The taste! So good. Definitely worth buying. Very good investment.
